Here is my notes/designs and various other information based on my first ideas.
My main idea is to have a ‘infinity room’ where there would be a small box people can walk into and they will be greeted with mirrors everywhere that reflect different things for the audience to see. Within this, I was thinking a set of screens below the user (under a glass panel) would be interesting to then display different scenes such a sea and sand video that would make it seem like they’re on the beach.
First of all, I decided to do some research on infinity rooms and how they work. Although I know these are not a new thing, I believe strongly that they have never been done in the way I intend to.

I have taken inspiration from Yayoi Kusama who is most likely the most popular artist to create these infinity rooms around the world. The Japanese artist uses light and props to make this rooms unique and I think this idea has great potential to be used in different ways.
What I wanted to do is take Kusama’s idea of the infinity room concept and turn it into something brand new with screens and the idea of mystery. This could include many different scenes that the public can see inside one of these rooms and enjoy the experience. In addition to this, I think it would bring a lot of people to Bridlington as I believe the only other infinity room is based in the Tate museum in London.

First I drew out my idea initially on paper and labelled everything needed, briefly showing why they are there and getting the basic outline of everything done. Then I went onto Illustrator and Photoshop and created a 3D digital version of my prototype, including an extra section under the glass as stated in the initial draft and added some texture and images to the design to show my product in more detail. By doing this it makes it easy to understand my ideas and what I intend to produce as a final project.
