Above is my finished Photoshop Collage of the British Sea Side as a whole!
This was created using a variety of images, assets and textures either created by myself or by other designers who have provided a licence.
I opted to go for a scrapbook style but with my own twist, by using duct tape assets to overlay the images to make it seem like they have been stuck down. In addition I have decided to create a paper style edge to some of the photos to give off the idea that they have been ripped out of a magazine of some sort. Furthermore I have bundled these with simple images that have been cut out jaggedly, as if they have also been taken from a programme and stuck down on to the page.
In the top right hand corner, I put together a simple post card style asset that additionally has also been taped down with tape. The postcard is an instant symbol of British sea sides as they are often found in small shops along sea fronts, which is why I felt it was appropriate to include them.

One feature I also decided to include was a now and then style edit of a pier on a beach, which shows it in the past but also the present. I used this to show how seasides and beaches rarely change over time and become childhood memories for many generations.

Overall I attempted to capture certain iconic aspects of British seasides while also trying to make my piece unique to my style, such as using the duct tape as well as the polaroid style photo to show off a small landmark; as if it had been taken in the 90’s by a tourist.
