Individual Role

In this blog post I will detail my individual role within the production and design process of the Cozy Club.

Each of the three members of our group all share a passion in design, but in different ways. Jess excels in illustration and art, Corey professionally creates 3D models and is passionate for 2D illustration, whereas I believe I am most confident and experienced within the graphic design and website production sectors. Because of this I have volunteered myself to be assigned to merchandise and uniform design, as well as creating the website. This includes photography within the website as well as an easy to use shop to display any merchandise created.

Based off of feedback from previous modules, I am capable of creating striking and successful Elementor websites, which will help when creating a prototype design for the Cozy Club. One of my passions and strengths is creating designs for merchandise and with past experience, I believe I will be able to successfully develop a range of clothing and uniforms for customers and staff to buy or wear. These garments will be designed carefully with the target market in mind, while keeping to my standards. ‘There’s no line between a designer and consumer’ (Abloh, 2016 cited in Baron, 2016) so I’d like the clothes to not only be something I’d wear, but display a design that is attractive to a customer who wants to also wear it.

I will also investigate how the brand can have a presence online and create an environment where individuals can engage with, and find out more information regarding the business. In doing this, the chosen form of media will allow customers to find further information and links to the website where they can buy products featured within these posts.

All these aspects with be used in collaboration with other members work to conclude with a final product, this being the whole Cozy Club brand.
